Peacoats?
I have a 1942 USN one in that Kersey wool. Immaculate condition at 70 yrs old.
They are the greatest coats - this guy explains it all but keep checking ebay of US Navy 10 button with the little tag.
Unbelievably warm and not boxy. Lovely. Had a Schott one before which was really good .......until I got the vintage one. Cost me 120 $
