Wanted: French threaded BB

I'm after a French threaded Bottom Bracket, square taper, to put on a 70s mixte frame.
Going to be equipped with a Shimano 600 / Tricolor crankset, so ideally should be 113-115mm, but could maybe work with something outside of that.

Better buying a threadless bottom bracket if you are on a budget.

YST does them for circa £15.

If you aren't on a budget, you can buy french threaded cups alone on eBay for circa £20 wedge your own BB in there.

If you are minted, you can buy Phil Wood french threaded cups. And a wedge a Phil Wood BB in there

I've a TA french threaded BB but the fixed cup is in situ of the remnents of the frame (I bought a TA cyclostouriste and the seller hacked the bottom bracket shell frame at the three tubes rather than remove it!!)
so you'll need a vice to hold it and a large adjustable spanner, otherwise it's actually in excellent condition & includes the bearings too which are also in good nick..

That works out to almost £60 including VAT & Royal Mail handling charges
You can get the the grand Cru from Fresh Tripe for £35 plus whatever postage they charge..

Even from Fresh Tripe the VO ones work out more than I paid for the frame and forks. LBS here will sell me an English thread JIS cartridge BB at the right length, and rethread the BB shell, for 45 Euros.
