Should Microcosm show the real identity of users?

I refuse to use any website that only has the option of Facebook/G+ sign in.
The thing is, i don't know exactly why; but i find it annoying to think they are forcing me to do it and don't give an option to signup as normal.

Agreed. That said, still bemused that this is being presented as an absolute either/or choice by almost everybody. Reminds me of a scene from one of the Hitchhiker books where a spacecraft crashes on a planet where nobody has ever seen the sky. They look every direction but up.
