haha because this is the internet so people are quick to make judgements about your motives when things that don't go their way!
To be honest, this is a community so I don't think profits are usually the idea, ebay will get you more money if that's what you want

its not even that mate. i payed for a new tyre and inner. so if people want the tyre and inner included then they will be paying the extra which came to 14. whats wrong with making 500pence proffit???????
The problem isn't you raising the price. That's fair and square with tyre and tube, it's playing around with the price and haggling for a better one. Also, new doesn't mean you're incapable of reading rules.

if i wanted more money i would have gone to ebay. the idea was to sell the bike as a whole, but all the interest is on the spoke. so to stop all the interest and to make it fair as to my decision on whom i will sell it too i stated the first to offer 140 gets it.someone offered 150. im sure anyone in their right mind would take the higher offer. How about a coffee??
I guess you just have to honour your original price and say ok its yours for £140 if he was the first to offer the full price, if not, then he's missed out. If you want to keep the sale price private, just say its sold next time and leave it at that

Basically, next time list it for one price and say whether or not you bought it from a forum member with a link if you can, that should really be the same or less than you bought it for obviously, unless you've made additions as you pointed out which is fair enough, it still might be over priced but thats for people to argue over.
It's not an auction site, check the rules on that one, so if you offer £140 and someone accepts it, its theirs unless they drop out, you decide the price and if some offers more after someone has offered the full price then it's too late.
tbh the next sale you do should be faultless after this experience!

Bout time. What incident was the last mail in the coffin?
I think you must have known that it was going cause problems putting it up for more than you bought it for though.
