Tom what waist size did you get?
-
• #13978
Good question if you thinking of getting some. Their 34 is wider then Rapha.
-
• #13979
34, a little loose in the waist but perfect I the thigh. I may eat my way into them but for now I have a belt. The normal length comes to mid- Achilles, the long an inch lower.

20 quid though. No complaints.

It's £15/£40 off £100/£200, not 15% / 40%. But it is a decent deal if you want a Gabba. £117 would be for the short-sleeve though, they don't have any long sleeve in stock.
Not sure I want to open the books...
Why did you buy them then…?

I tried on a LS gabba. Have to say the XL was far too long in the arm, and tight across the back.
I am in no way built like a cyclist though.
If the fabric is even close to being as windproof as my old Gore T-shirt. Then I am well impressed. My Gore T-shirt is almost totally windproof. But feels like wearing a layer of sandpaper laminated to perspex. I tape my nipples before wearing it, and need help to get it off.

I hated the cut of the Gabba, sent it back. I'll try again when I've lost 20kg.

I dont get on with castelli shorts either. They seem to enjoy causing me to sit on my testicles. Which isnt something I enjoy.

Mainly to keep it as a limited collectors piece...

I think Castelli is more suited for tall and lean rather than short and round...

only fatty size gabbas left, annoying.

Racing cyclist shaped then?
Basically yes but more so than other brands I think.

Took the plunge on a pro team jacket the other day. Really love the fit (long arms/arse section with a short front) it is tight, but I'm not really skinny (76kg at 6ft) and it feels great on me. Just needs to be cold enough for me to wear it now.

What size have you got? I'm a similar build with a medium PTJ on the way, hoping it fits.

Most of Castelli ^ this, but the Gabba is a bit odd on my shoulders.
I decided to stick with Santini armwarmers + Gilet + Jersey + Wool baselayer. A combo that does pretty much the same as the Gabba.

The Gabba was really loose across my back, but fitted well everywhere else. I got a Capo Lombardia jersey instead which fitted much better all over (and has regular sizing, rather than silly Italian sizing e.g. was am a medium in the Capo but an XL with the Gabba.) The Capo is literally the same material as the Gabba, cost £40 less, fit (me) better and performed admirably in a downpour on Saturday. Very pleased. Oh and it doesn't have shit Castelli branding all over it, it's very subtle actually. Worn with a PT base layer I didn't overheat at all either.

Trousers were interesting in the rain just now. Did stay dry.

the lombardia is nice, aero fit, good styling & long sleeves so no gappy arm-warmers
the front isn't fleece-lined sadly but tht's not fatal

What kinda weather is the Rapha classic long sleeve good for? The new gold ones are pretty ace.
I need a winter jersey for the type of conditions we're in now... Chilly but not freezing. I've got a good long sleeve merino to layer up with.
kissteet bout colour choices. Blue. Dat's all we get.
