just 3 stupid guys with the wrong tactique

Stupid definately no, but their tactic was wrong enough to make me win...

Am I missing something? The guy on second position left a gap, which kept growing as the pace increased, and the guys behind him merrily sat there doing nothing about it, allowing the guy in front to stay away for the win. Doesn't really matter whether your bike is made of carbon, aluminium or wood if people are gonna ride like that.

Also (INA Commisaire) I believe the rules state that you can't let more than 1 bike length gap open up, otherwise the race has to be started again?
(Happened at the Rolla-Keirin this year)

The the rule is actually that the lead rider can't let a gap of more than 10 metres open up to the derny.

I'm presuming the three were more worried about each other than your good self and wanted to make sure someone of greater threat didn't make it through?

Lucky for you, well read. A win is a win...
I thought man 2 was running out of steam or was planning on closing the gap just before the derny pulls off and go for a long run. Idiot.

A win is a win indeed. Doesnt matter how and why. Result is all that matters.

How many people qualified for the next round? Just the winner of the heat? Or the top 2/ top 3

• #14
First 2.

First of all congratulations on being first across the line, a win is a win as already said and secondly congratulations on starting a new thread! Quite refreshing.
Riding and watching the Keirin 2013 and last year, it was more than obvious the top riders were laying off us nodder riders by similar distances (relative to HH) but that's because they're 1. playing with us and 2. it made it more exciting to watch. Your competitors clearly are not that good and without getting a stop watch out, the gap at the finish isn't that much less than when the Derny pulls off.
Hello all!
This is a HD video from OAKA Velodrome in Greek Championship of 2013 in Athens that shows me and 3 other guys running at 1st round repechages.
A Quick description:
I was running in a heat of 4 cyclists with 2 of them being two of the best in Greek Track Cycling. Competition was tough with odds being against me, as I was competing with a LOOK AL264 with DA and a really old Corima Wheelset while others had top equipment like Fuji Track Elite Carbon with DA + PRO Wheelset and LOOK 496 Carbon with DA + MAVIC IOS Wheelset.
Enjoy!
