Chickend out this morning and then realised I probably would have been better off on the bike!

I did notice that the bus stops were jam packed this morning, I had a lovely quiet ride. Sunny but windy is my favorite kind of weather.

I thought I'd woken up late/set off really early. It was that quiet!
Gonna wash my bike at lunch, still very muddy

BQ, on the Brompton, morning sir!
I then discovered my puncture. F u debrisI Bromptoned for just this reason.
A few trees down, but nothing major. Suspiciously un-windy on the way in - I suspect homeward will be full on headwind.

Props to all you guys above who managed to bike it. At the time, I felt like it was mega unsafe out there, but now you guys make me feel like I wimped out huge.

What with the little detour in Oval?
A gust of wind caught him and sent him sailing over the buildings.
Dammit - How does it compare to normal days as can't see other times?
-
• #61190
It doesn't really as I went a route I do not normally take due to riding with the Mrs.

Guy on a grey track frame, deep black rear wheel, red taped drops? Rode with you up most of ken high st, then again round hyde park corner/park lane?
Also, last night - someone on a black dolan with pink taped drops absolutely hammering it down theobolds road eastbound? I was going the other way but actually stopped to look back because I honestly thought you were being chased.

BQ, on the Brompton, morning sir!
I then discovered my puncture. F u debrisHi Mands!
Happily there are plenty of bike shops round there. I hope you gave it to On Yer Bike and got a cup of tea while someone else fixed your puncture. -

Bearded gent on a beauty of a Bob track bike heading south on Kingsland Road at around 9 this morning. Red with a white head tube I think. Damn my colour-blindness. Caught me having a perv at the ride.

Didn't really get hit by the wind too bad. First thing in the morning was a little bit intense.
Saw someone going down Canon St./ Fleet St. shouting at pedestrians around mid-day. Looked fun!

A guy the other day with some pink... Thing. It had two 5 spoke wheels and a gold painted deer antler as handlebars...

Shared an awkward double-take/stare-off with someone in a forum cap on Endymion Rd just after 8.30 this morning. Apologies I wasn't sharp enough to issue the customary greeting.
Shortly after that I spotted someone (not an on here type) in proper winter gear, including balaclava under their helmet. This despite me removing my jacket immediately after leaving the house because it's such a glorious morning. HTFU FFS.

What time did u leave ur house mate? Because when I left at 6.30 it definitely wasnt as glorious as it is now...
Still did wish I could stop and take off my softshell and think tomorrow will go for the gilet instead. But did see some guys with the full balaclava works with full fingered gloves. Bit overkill.
Spotted no one via work, though that's nothing new in beckton town.
