I am still homeless and garageless too - I only cottoned on to the selling cars thing a couple of nights ago. Unfortunately I only started wondering around freemode properly too so I started to get killed a lot, and doing bounties. Getting in to 1-to-1 kill fests is very counter productive and costly for both parties.
I only found survival mode last night thanks to soul, that game type is great. Good money and rep. Racked up a few achievements last night too. Going to be on a lot this weekend.
