ABUS Granit X-Plus 54: Which size 23cm or 30cm?

Title says it all. I have a bike and want to lock it up around London. I've decided on the lock but need a recommendation on the size as I haven't used a U-Lock in a long time. I thought 30cm would be the obvious choice to make it easier to lock up against a wider range of fixed objects, but I've read that it might be better to go the smaller lock to make it harder for thieves to pry open.

Any advice appreciated, thanks.

23cm, can lock to most things and its lighter, and yes it also reduces the chance of it being jacked open, as long as you lock it with a bit of care.

Thanks Swillis, I imagine I'll probably go with the 23.

Thanks for the posts Chak, I had already performed a search and trawled through much of the 47 page thread "Locks that work", but didn't find any direct information about whether I should go for the 23 or 30 version of the Abus, so decided to ask the question directly.
