Can I ask what you've paid for that one? I've sold that half a year ago on this forum for quite cheap. Only thing I see is that they've fitted a new headset.

Thanks, been out of this world for many years, just getting back into it but only like the old bikes from my racing era 1980's early 90's.

Btw, is there a " 't Rennershuis Leeuwarden" decal on it? Would be sweet if it was, international recognition etc.

do you know if the blue is the original colour ?
Yes, original paint style & colours:
white 67 with baikal blue 68About the questions frame number and year of manufacture: maybe it has been produced in 86, but resprayed later.
Or the whole frame has been produced later.
Gazelle frame numbers (and lists) are not 100% reliable.
The spoiler bracket has Cinelli logo, later ones had a Gazelle cast logo.
At least the BB shell is an early version Cinelli spoiler. -

What's the general consensus on brake cable colour for Gazelles. Is it the band colour on the down tube and seat tube or lettering colour.
Not sure about the blue that I got at the minute. Changing my Ooqi grips out for some brooks to match my saddle if they offend anyone at the minute 😄 -

General consensus would be black trim and gears for this specimen.

Wow! Nice answer. Thought I was posting on London Fixed Gear and Single Speed. Think you're lost, Bike Radar is that way ⬇
There is no brazing on this frame making it an ideal conversion, which I have done. I already have a geared bike, I don't want another. This one is my winter commuter.
So anyone with a sensible answer.

Yeah. I also get really annoyed when someone succeeds in selling a road bike in the classifieds here. And seeing people talking about racing geared bikes in the pro cycling threads makes my blood boil! Would you believe it, I even saw a derailleur in one of the photos on the 'How not to lock your bike' thread!
I've even heard a rumour - get this - that there are members who aren't even from London! I mean, WTF?!

....Pff! Some people, eh?!
No. Not really.
Just asked a question regarding brake cable colour on my bike and didn't expect an arsehole comment regarding my choice of gears or fixed on my bike. Especially, as I had pointed out on a fixed gear bike forum
Your other comments are twatty too. Not supercool at all. I'm in Brixton tomorrow night so if you want to meet up and discuss this further I'm happy to meet up. You can educate me in the pros and cons of selling geared bikes on a fixed gear forum.

Oh my god you completely changed your post.

I'm so angry he doesn't have gears on his obscure Dutch frame

Decal colour would be the natural choice, I'd say. At present, your cable, bar grips, and frame are three different, clashing shades of blue, so a white cable would be a step in the right direction.

Decal colour. That's great cus I got some white cable laying around.
The clashing blue is coming to a finish soon. Replacing the grips next week.

Just need to source them before I drop it off for paint ?
