For Sale: Tubular Road Wheelset - 1991 Mavic 500 RD 36H Hubs, Monthlery Pro, 6sp Aris freewheel

I have a very nice tubular road wheelset going spare. Straight, in good condition, ready to use.

Specification:

• 1991 36H Mavic 500 RD 2nd edition hubs with quick release Mavic skewers (Front hub dated January 1991, rear hub February 1991);
  
• FIR Squadra Corse WEGA rear rim;
  
• Mavic Monthlery Pro front rim;
  
• Sachs Maillard Aris 6 speed freewheel in good working order;
  
• Vittoria Rally tubs in good usable condition.
  
• I also have a spare Wolber tub which comes with the wheelset.
  
  
  

Now some CSB about those hubs... These are the very last Mavic 500 RD hubs produced. Cream your pants if you are doing a 1991 period build...
*MAVIC 500 RD front / rear hubs - quick release / small flange design - forged 2014 aluminum alloy body without anodized finish - 2030 aluminum alloy axles - post 1981 with channel inset "MAVIC" logo along the centerline of the hub barrel - pre 1991 without White on Black "MAVIC" logo with model designation band on non-drive side of the hub body - annular sealed bearings - 36h hubs (100 mm spacing front / 126mm spacing back).

MAVIC 500 RD hubs were introduced in late 1978 for the 1979 model year, updated in 1982 to the version you see here, and thereafter produced in an unaltered state through 1991 - with respect to MAVIC front hub offerings, the model 500 RD differed from the 550 RD version which debuted in the year 1982 only in that it had a natural alloy finish which could be polished to near mirror shine whereas the 550 RD had a protective anodized surface treatment on its housing and a similarly anodized axle]*

Anyway, £100 -> £90 -> £75 -> £70 -> £50 and sold! will be the amount you need to take this wheelset home...

It's for my girlfriends bike and these are too nice for it, plus I only need a rear, cheers though matey have a bump.

TL;DR - BUY THEM

Weekly price drop, now this is a true bargain, tyres alone are worth £30.

Would even be worth it just for the hubs/freewheel...

I now have a double wheelbox with padding so I can post these for £10.
