Really looking forward to this ride, won't be on gears but I'll definitely be on a more sensible bike than my last ride to cambridge.

Lovely jaunt last year so in for this. Will be fixed. 49/17 for me or maybe I'll fit something smaller on the back just to make Oliver wince.

We'll leave as soon after 9 as possible - we don't need to wait for KT Bee as she's playing in boats rather than coming for a bike ride.
You turn up late once* for a ride, and no one can let you forget it.
- I obviously mean really late once, others times are just lateish, and don't count.

Hmmm, might be up for this. Is anyone starting in Cambridge?
-
• #108
Starting in Cambridge? As in:
(a) leaving Cambridge in time to get to Brick Lane for 9;
(b) leaving Cambridge at 9 and passing us half way in the opposite direction;
(c) riding from somewhere else in Cambridge and meeting us at the pub; or
(d) joining us for a pint or three at the pub and then riding to London?
You're welcome to do any of the above.
-
• #109
(e) Trying to fight people in Cambridge?
I see you lurking balmain ...

A fine ride last year - hope to move from lurker to rider when diary like things get sorted...

I was thinking (a), but (b) may also work. If (a) then it would be on the train. I like an early morning ride but 5am is probably a little too early for me.

Well, whatever arrangements you settle on, it owuld be good to see you. If you do want to set off from Brick Lane at 9, do please add youself to the list at some point so I know roughly how many people to expect on the day.

Are you getting the train down chrisbytheway? If I can find someone to cover for me at work I'll be hopping on at Cambridge then riding from Kings Cross to the start.

Yeah, although I'll probably get on at Foxton or Shepreth.
Oh, and it's Chris, by the way... by the way.

We may have some riders from Barley joining us - a colleague, his brother and a neighbour. We must have made a good impression when we rode past his house two years ago.
-
• #122
Seriously tempted...where is the meeting point?
-
• #123
Vaguely outside Beigel Bake, 159 Brick Lane E1 6SB
-
• #124
chrisbytheway will be riding geared, by the way.

mmmmm Beigels.
Full marks for using the London spelling, Ludd.
@lettie you won't be holding anyone back if I'm on the ride. Plenty will be riding fixed. Do it!
