Fancied a more relaxed riding style so fitted some Velo Orange Milan bars and some Gropes. Also fitted a rack.

what rack is that? Its a second hand job bought off a guy from here for a tenner. Haven't seen a makers mark on it so cant tell you.
Yeah the problem with the full rear mudguard is that there's nothing to attach the long front part of it too (see the raleigh at the top), it wont fit in between the chain stays on that little bridge, unless I cut it down and then I'd have to drill a hole in the bridge to bolt it into which I really don't fancy doing. And if the rear guard is not attached at the front at the bottom it just wobbles around and makes loads of noise. At least with the shorter front one it will be bolted in tight and it wont wobble or make any noises. Once I get the rear attachment I'll give it a try and see, but I actually like the way it looks. A lot of the modern guards dont go past the brake bridge or go just past now anyway. like the SKS race blades short and long.
Reason I didnt put hooded brakes on is I really like the clean look from the side of the drops without them, and as I just tend to cruise to work I tend to have my hands on the top of the bars anyway it made sense to put the levers there. I'll see how I get on with them, can always change them to hooded ones if i decide I prefer it.
