generally the bike is gonna be little more stable due to longer wheelbase but its gonna react in a different way to your input while riding at different speeds - its gonna be very stable and difficult to turn while riding ultra slow and twitchy while riding fast, also oversteer is likely to happen at slow speed -
id stick with same rake forks as original - tifosi pista 35mm rake, alpina track 30mm rake, tokyo fixed dart 35mm rake.....or suchlike or pick your rake according to the headangle of your frame to get neutral handling bike....

Hey folks... had a bit of a crash on my Gazzetta and the fork is just bent enough to make it unrideable... Had a look for the exact replacement part, and sadly I can't find one anywhere.. Cinelli don't seem to sell them, and I can't find a used one anywhere. Posted a wanted ad here just in case: http://www.lfgss.com/thread115892.html
Anyhow, I don't have much knowledge as to what forks I need to get a hold of as a replacement, and things to look out for, etc. so I welcome any and all opinions please. The frame is a Gazzetta, circa 2010, 60cm.
Help!
Thanks in advance,
Nic

any threadless 1 1/8" fork will work, maybe go carbon?

Was in similar situation, with the same frameset - crashed and bent the fork.
I went for a chinese "track" carbon forks with 38mm rake, as couldn't find anything cheap with original 35mm.
Result - bike is lighter, handling is great, comfort is much better.
Go carbon and you won't regret it. Maybe columbus tusk with alloy steerer? -

Le merge.
- Columbus Cr-Mo 1-1/8”
- Steel fork with 32mm pure track rake.

True dat.
Could it be, that at some point ( 2011/2012 ) they altered fork slightly, changing from 35 to 32? There was something mentioned on cinelli website about fork redesign. Can't find a link.
Some traders selling these framesets still quote 35mm...

Juronic - I have a spare gazzetta fork for sale if you interested? It's black, brand new, never been fitted, uncut steerer. PM me if you're interested.
Crashed my bike and bent the forks back - is there any way to get a replacement gazetta fork? (steel, 1-1/8, 35mm rake)
I could swap it out for a columbus tusk carbon fork, but that has 45mm rake, would 10 mm of rake make a massive difference on the road?
if I understand correctly more rake = less trail, which will make the bike more stable, and harder to initiate a turn which as I only ride the bike on the road, is desirable...
