Very belated thank you to Little Heather for the bike and Lard Boy for the CX tyres. It was the perfect bike for some very muddy riding. I wouldn't say that it was all wall-to-wall 100% fun (at one point the warmest most inviting place I could find was a portaloo at the bottom of Ben Nevis - I nearly didn't leave) but it was very beautiful.
