Finally getting my D7000 back from repairs.
Thinking about treating myself to a new tripod.
Currently rocking a Traveler that cost me £12 from aldi!
I would like some help, I need something that can go quite small for ease of transport, but that doesnt cost the earth (£100 or so tops)
I have no idea about heads and stuff, so any advice will be greatly received.

Redsnapper is pretty good. I think they "copy" expensive brands but with a cheap price tag, I have a ball head tripod from them, can't fault it.

Ball head essentially gives you more control and you can move about the camera when on tripod more easily, but if you intend to do a bit of video now and then, probably a good idea to go with a 3 ways panning head. That said, if you get some decent tripod, you can always change the head depending on what you plan to do.
