Cyclocross - CX and SSCX races and training

Anyone know what Saturday's course at Plumpton is like?

It's a new venue, so unknown. However, the organisers posted this image on their website;

Which suggests it's mainly school playing fields. You've got to love a spiral though.

Does every course have to have a "Spiral of Doom". At least come up with some original names...

Could be a Men's only feature, like that down hill posted above which was apparently removed for the women's race. Eh?

I signed up for the ally pally novice race, but I think I'm going to have to pull out now. I'll definitely be on the sidelines heckling though. Maybe I'll bring that bottle of tequila I won two years ago...

With Muddy Hell being canceled, come down on the 26th to Herne Hill midday-5pm to help sort the cross course out. Food and fireworks after, as well as the grand opening of the new polo court.

Hahaha, that was a good race at plumpton! Crashed on my warm up lap but just managed to stay upright after that.

laner, good to see you there. How did you get on? What did you think of the course?

That was quite a muddy course today. I felt like I suffered from not getting enough front wheel grip on the corners and then subsequently being over-cautious.

Likewise. I swapped the all-rounders for a mud tyre after my warm-up and things felt a little better. Riding the grass is the way to go though.
