• Selling this on behalf of a friend. Cracking bike, I'd get if for my girlfriend if it'd been a 56cm

52cm Lapierre Singlespeed 'Porteur' Bike - with all the porteur trimmings - racks with wooden slats/chainguard/mudguards/side stand. She's looking for £180 for it.

    • Large chrome rack at the front with a front light hook and wooden slats, added by my humble self.
    • rear rack (minor pitting)
    • chrome mudguards
    • Polished chainguard, looks ace.
    • Bell
    • Side stand
    • Dynamo fittings
    • 650B wheels (1992 Maillard rear which take a screw on freewheel, 2002 Miche alloy front one - both with good tyres),
    • new brake cables (inner/outer) and front pads
    • 46T Cottered crankset (no play in the bottom bracket)

The gearing is 46x18 so pretty good for city riding. It was previously fitted with a dynamo but the wiring was shot so removed.

The bike is ready to roll, can be picked up / viewed in Belsize Park, but my friend is happy to meet up elsewhere in London.

PM me and I'll send her details

  • I remember this little number, it used to be one of mine!

1992 Lapierre Porteur, 52cm mixte frame so it would fit someone around 5ft2 to 5ft8 ish.

Great bike and good work on 'wooding' the rack, it looks awesome.

    GLWS

  • Dibs! PM coming your way.

  • If Chrismatex doesn't take this, I am interested for the missus

  • Bike's still available

Price negotiable for a smooth deal. No dibsing if you're not serious. First with cash gets it. Roll up!

  • Checking with a friend, will get back to you, more than likely first thing. Could be what she's looking for.

  • Nice one, cheers

  • Not what she's looking for. Apologies for the excitement! ha. Nice bike, GLWS

  • Un dibs..... She wants a brompton

  • Price drop to £160.

    Or £150 if you're quick!

  • Put it on Gumtree, you will get your original asking price.

  • Yeah we're thinking that, but here's usually easier. Wron season to sell a bike it seems

  • £135 now

Come on folks, this is silly cheap for such a good bike. It's rock solid, miles better than a bobbin or one of those awful cheap Indian omas. If it looks too modern, give it a re-spray and you'll have a right looker.
