I have that combo, the beam is for seeing rather than for being seen. It's great for unlit roads, but annoying in traffic because I have to keep worrying about which way I'm pointing my head so I don't zap anyone. Also, the double-click to turn it on is hard to do in winter gloves. With a remote on/off it would be fantastic.
