There won't be any leeway (leaway? Oliver?) for spacing at the back - you'll need all those threads for the cog.
You should be able to do something at the front with the bottom bracket length or spacers inside the spider of the cranks. -

I think I'm on the shortest length BB at 103mm. I saw these which seemed such a simple solution (sroll down a few pics for spacers behind sprockets):

I see only one pic has a lockring...

Looking like a new chainset then-bollocks! I thought this fixed malarky was gonna be simple to set up!

Maybe write here what setup do you use (bb, cranks, hub). It would be helpful for us, to help you ;)

There's already a drivetrain database thread for that information.

Thanks hippy. That's a good help.
Loving riding fixed for the first time after my geared bikes got nicked. Building myself up a decent bike but need to get the chainline sorted. The chainring is sitting out by 3-4mm. How far out can I safely space the rear sprocket? How much thread is needed for the minimum-don't want to strip my brand new hub!? I could move the ring inboard but as it's a single chainset there's no steps on the spider arms for the ring to sit on as there is on the outer side-would that matter? Help the new guy!!
