  • It's a tricky one. I have caged pedals on it now and I can't stand them, I want to be clipped in. My road pedals are too much of a faff for getting the tandem started, you need strong power transfer right at the get go to get it up to speed, especially on the hills. My success rate for clipping into keos is probably 9 out of 10 on my regular bikes, but I can control them a lot easier than a tandem, so MTB is the way to go.

Maybe I should settle for something other than Sidi. I just find my genius 5's so comfy, I'm worried if I get something inferior i will end up getting sore feet. But Sidis are $$ that I don't have right now.

Apologies for hijacking the Sidi thread but does anyone have an opinion on what shoe brand offers the most similarly shaped shoes as sidis? I have narrow feet and high arches (I have special insoles for that so I will just swap them around).
