My GTA saga has gone thusly:
Receive copy of game from friend in New York who runs Rock Star's social stuff. Disc unrecognized error. He assured me that it was region free but I dismiss him as an idiot and a week later a copy arrives from Amazon.
Put new disc into Xbox, same disc read errors. The damn thing is new from January and the drive had only been used to load songs from Rock Band and Lego Rock Band and for one evening's play of Fallout 3. Everything else was played from the hard drive.
After much hair pulling get Xbox to agree to a return under warranty. UPS tried to deliver the replacement yesterday. Will have to wait til Friday.
Can I join the crew please?
