2013-10-10 - Rider Down, Sydenham High Street

Rode past the aftermath of a crash this morning on Sydenham High St at the junction with Mayow Rd. Looked nasty, wrecked bike, clothes on the ground, rider being strapped to a spinal board.

Looked like rider travelling South, car turning right into Mayow Rd.

I walked past it too. From the position of the car, it was doing a very sharp turn right, and was actually in the wrong lane completely as it attempted the corner.

Oh for fucks sake. The sort cuntish driving that would take out even the most safety conscious cyclist. Basically it is only luck that this cyclist wasn't you or me.

I was thinking that. Nothing you can do to avoid it. The shot of the front of the car is horrible.
