Finished the bike a few weeks ago, had a few complications with parts. The frame has been re-sprayed by Mario Vaz.
Great bike to ride, still have to tweak a few things. Very pleased with the bike, the only thing is: it's too nice to ride everyday.Components :

3ttt Stem Colnago Etched
Nitto Classic Road hanldebars,
Fizik Arione saddle,

I got a quote for an f&f that includes re-chrome and re-spray in the correct colnago scheme at the same firm that did the orig paint on that bike for 420 euros.
Will have to ship to Italy though. My ESA Mexico Pista is going to be sent out there.

I contacted Mercian I believe, they quoted £450 + p&p for it.
Chroming is quite expensive. -

Great build, and love the new paint, how much did that cost if you don't mind me asking?

Repaint cost me £150 , by Mario Vaz. He did a good job for the money, other "professional" shops ask for 450+ (inc. chroming)

Hi, very late to the party here but just wanted to compliment your build, very nice paint job for a reasonable price as well. The black and red groupset really works with that frame and especially the stem too, I hope you're still enjoying it.
I too have a Colnago Super with modern Campag (Athena 11), though someone else did all the hard work and I picked it up pretty much as is, uninspiring photo:

eBasta here , was away for a while.
The bike was not ridden for about a year so pretty much since it was built. Sadly, I cannot keep this beauty anymore and have to part with it ... Will be creating "for sale" soon (approx £1k) .. Here are some photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/attilaszabo/sets/72157636880345164
Bought this Colnago off the forum, planning to build it before the end of the summer.
Very nice frame, proper old school framebuilding, will make a very nice base for my build. The frame had a bit of a harsh life in the past, paint has aged, chrome has big rust dots.
Thats how it looked fully built :
Currently :
Aiming for this:
http://lh4.ggpht.com/-DTa9ylM6K_o/UKJf0urPmXI/AAAAAAAAKB8/jzTInguioLc/s0/IMG_1960.JPG
Components:
Campagnolo Centaur Groupset Alloy (red edition)
Ambrosio Rims laced on Campagnolo record hubs (not sure yet)
3ttt original quill stem, 26.
Not sure about the handlebars,

Plan:
Grind the old chrome off
Polish
Sandblast
Inspect the frame
Chrome
Get it painted
