However, we have promised to convert 10 of their mountain bikes into single speed polo bikes...

I need a mechanic on here to come and take a look at the bikes to see what we're gonna need to make them work... Off the top of my head we'll need:

• Double levers
• Chain tensioners
• Cassette spacers
• Brake cable

Depends a bit on what gear the bikes are already running, and what the current attitudes are to ghetto singlespeeds with a cassette, using the rear mech as a tensioner.
You may also need to consider some way to cover up or remove exposed chainrings.
