I think what he said could have been put quite a bit better but the sentiment is right I think.
It's a real snap decision to try and persuade him to become 'English'
It reminds me of the time we tried to get Arteta to gain nationality to play for England and where then thwarted by some obscure FIFA rule.
For me I would like to take advantage of the five year rule - but as things currently stand, I think all this talk is just un-necessary
