I built something similar recently:
So much fun to ride (but it was for a raffle and not my size)

Thanks, all those parts were free for this project: http://www.lfgss.com/thread99506.html
Saddle is Charge Spoon, grips are cork grips that I got from gaz1979
Just thought this may interest some people, and have also been advise by close friends to post something about my project on here.
Towards the end of this past summer(2013) I acquired two old, tired frames/bikes. The one with a split seat stay has gone on the back burner but this current project was ideal due so its smaller size for a frame that I had been on the look out for. One suitable for the girlfriend to be built up as a town bike (and on a the cheap).

Even though the frame was lacking of any true heritage or quality, all in all once it was stripped of all its parts it was true, sound and even better, dent and rust free.

Had it sent to a local powder coaters and for next to nothing they have produced a great finish and colour.

The forks, headset, stem and bars had all been lost in time so these were acquired through a mixture of people who know people and general bargaining.

The frame came with a Brooks Competition saddle which sadly had had its long life but now with the leather worn though at the nose of the saddle so sadly couldn't be revived. In its place I've fitted a genuine old stock Selle Italia Turbo (off the other bike as mentioned at the start).

This bike is a continuos project, that as I acquire or find better parts I will fit them but all I wanted was the bike to be serviceable, usable and rolling for our return to Uni.

Well that's just about it really!
