Hi guys looking for some advice.
Recently bought a steel frame off fleabay and stripped frame down. Square taper bottom bracket hadn't been removed in 19 years and removing the non driveside required a spanner + 3 ft pole extension. In my exuberance to remove driveside cartridge I forgot it was italian threaded and like an idiot armed with a 3 ft spanner does, turned it the wrong way around 180 degrees. This removed all the paint and maybe a couple of shavings of metal. Will this affect me installing a newer hollowtech type bb and crank due to a slightly shorter shell width? Planning on getting bb shell faced anyway.
