I'd go box. And make sure you get something that is wide enough to accommodate 35c tyres. If you're going to be using it for a bit of 'cross, then you should look at A23/Archetypes/TB14s. All have a 23mm side rim, which will be far better than using something like an Open Pro with a 35c tyre.
