For Sale: 531c Dawes full bike - 56cm

MANCHESTER COLLECTION ONLY

I am selling my trusty steel commuter road bike after a year - finally accepted it is a little too big and replaced it already.

Parts of note:
Dawes Reynolds 531c frame - 56cm seat tube c-t and 56cm top tube c-c.
Full Shimano Exage Action groupset with Biopace chainrings
Cinelli XA quill stem

Bike cleaned and fully functional. Both wheels are slightly out of true but completely ridable and very easily fixable.

Been using spd pedals on it, which will not be sold - but have some old ratty mks quill pedals that can be put on.

Whole bike price £140 £130 Located in South Manchester, collection only.

It's the Dawes Impulse. Not sure of the year, I'd say very late 80s to early 90s

Thread re-opened, tentative purchaser never managed to get round to coming to Manchester and I sort of forgot about it - not been used at all since thread opened, still taking up garage space.

Love this bike.
My dad has the same one, got it about 20 years ago and recently had it repainted and put a modern campag groupset on it. He'd never get rid of that frame.

Cheers. Also have some unbranded unwrapped alloy 42cm ergo drop bars and generic quill stem (25.4 mm), that could be thrown in for a £5 if anyone would prefer that.

Right still not sold, due to lack of trying. Reclaimed the Cinelli stem and chopped bullhorns for another bike. Only unbranded quill stem and alloy drops included in this sale, new set-up in picture below. Still £130 (I think a very good price for fully built up 531c frame!)
