• This bike is perfect for racing hill climbs. On occasion I've added some clip ons and done a few TTs on it, but mostly I've used it for fast commuting.

Moda Forte track frame adapted for road use. The complete track bike has an RRP of £999 - see http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/tech/bikes/129199/1/moda-forte.html

54cm frame (I'm 6 foot and it's fine with the seat post up high - probably perfect if you're a bit shorter).

The frame is triple butted 7005 aluminium and seriously light and stiff.

I replaced the track fork with a Columbus Carve full carbon road fork (and lovely it is too!). Fitted with Shimano 105 front brake

Wheels: front = Halo Mercury 16 spoke road wheel - again very light. Rear = Halo Aerorage Track wheel, fixed hub. Both shod with Michelin Pro 3 tyres. Total weight of wheels minus tyres and skewers less than 1600g.

Dedacciai Magic Stick carbon seat post

    San Marco Concor Lite saddle

Pro-Lite Livenza aero bars fitted with Tektro aero brake lever and recently taped with Specialized S-Wrap classic bar tape. FSA alloy stem.

Miche Primato chain set and BB. Currently fitted with Miche Advanced 47T chainring.

Miche 17t fixed sprocket on one side of the hub, Halo 20t sprocket on the other side.

    KMC 1/8" chain.

    Spare 44t Velosolo Chainring

    Spare 18t Miche sprocket.

Spare chain - YBN superlite - great for losing weight for the hill climbs.

    £350.
