Totally agree, though personally I would rather have seen some young lions with no hope in hell of winning giving it everything and failing miserably, than the entire GB team bailing for whatever reason. They might have done the smart (the computer says no) kinda thing quitting, but at the time I certainly didn't find it particularly dignified. If you commit to the team, in this case representing team GB competing at the world championships, in my humble opinion you commit to give it one hundred percent or not at all.
