  • Just a quick thought. Look up alpkit, they do some cheap drybags including one that mounts on handlebars. I've not used them but have herd they're good- also for sleeping bag and mat.

    Also Google tarptent . If you're handy with a sewing machine and on a budget you can make your own lightweight tent- the plans are on the site.

    There's also a thread on here about bike packing and camping. Come to think of it alpkit make frame bags/ saddle bags, as do others. Most of these ideas have come straight off the thread so give it a read, some good stuff on there.

    Also, enjoy. I'm jealous. Finally wasn't it only a couple of days ago you said "I only race"? :-)
