I listened to the podcast the other day - he sounded utterly gutted (as you might expect) but came across really well. Really shit luck with the chain.

Tao has just tweeted that he's riding for Axel Merckx's Bontrager development squad next season. Previous alumni include Taylor Phinney, Jesse Sergeant, Alex Dowsett, Ian Boswell and Joe Dombrowski.

A just reward for his superb results this season.

It is the Cauberg, the photo was taken during the 2012 World Junior Road Race.

Tao has been chosen as one of four riders to provide a monthly diary in Procycling magazine. Along with Tiffany Cromwell, Matej Mohoric and, ahem, Frank Schleck. There's an interview with him in the current edition.

Tao was third in the U23 Liege-Bastogne-Liege today. An impressive result in his first year as a senior.
