First go on the lemon tea on an 80 miler today.

Wasn't sure at first as it seemed quite salty, but once it had all settled and chilled out a bit it was the business. Tasted just like lipton (my only experience of ice tea), which is a very good thing. Couldn't tell how much the caffeine did, but I felt pretty alert once I got back, which for the length of the ride is good going.

High five zero can do one. Converted.

It stops me getting cramps while climbing big-ass trees at work. I get through a couple of tabs a day if climbing a lot...
Have also found that 2 tabs and an energy gel dissolved in a 700ml bottle = mega running fuel.

I've just picked up a 4 pack of lemon tea and a 4 pack of the new flavours mixed fruit.

I'd seen this thread before, but I felt the prices were a bit high. I know in the newsletter you reference High5. I've previously bought the Zero's mainly as they've tended to have some very cheap deals on wiggle and CRC. I'd be interested to compare the stats, flavours, and prices with these.

Tried a couple of these today. In part as I had a heavy day, but also just because I'd just received them. Maybe being on a bike/riding will make a difference but my initial impression is that these are basically the same as my high5 zeros.

At -50% the cost difference is fairly negligible. At full price though I'm not sure I see what the premium is for.

But I'll compare the stats and report back once I've done some excersise.

The free bottle is smaller but much better quality than the free high5 one.

So from a quick skim of the packet Nunn say how many mg of, potassium and calcium they have. Zero by High5 don't. Nunn seems to have 250mg (in 240ml) of riboflavin. Zero's don't seem to have any. They've got about the same magnesium. Nunn has more salt.

^ that's all just from reading the packs and doing a rough working out. I don't really like the way Nunn preface the nutritional facts; "serving size = 8 fl oz (240ml), servings per tab 2, amount per serving calories 4..." So are they saying their stats are based on using 2 pills in 240ml or 1 pill in 480ml? Why not just do per 100ml and whatever serving they recommend?

It is annoying that the bottles are only 500ml... 750 or 900 is much better for me.

Note. I ordered the race packs, so am not complaining about a free bottle....

A tab per 650ml is what nuun recommend, so guess that's the reason for the choice of bottle.

really? the tube says serving size 240ml and there's 2 servings per tab, so 480 ml

So it does. That's new.

Their website says one tab per 500ml now. Others still say per 500-650ml.

I doubt they could run it for long. 50% is just too insane a discount for them to do so.

If your pennies stretch to a few extra tubes, it's probably worth doing so.
