I've been followed home before, a long time ago now.
I told my dad, who called the coppers, who (surprisingly- maybe it really was better in the old days) picked the guy up.
Apparently he was a known bike thief and the assumption was that he was following me home to see a) where I lived and b) where the bike was kept.
