Has anyone had another email from seedrs chasing for a deposit? I paid them during the week and have the confirmation email and last night got another email requesting payment.

Just back from holiday. Amazed how quick this second round went.
I managed to get enough wifi whilst we were away to maintain my percentage. : )
Have said it before: there is a lot of belief on here about what you are doing. There is also a swiftly growing belief 'off here' by the sounds of things. Looking forward to next updates..

Yes - because I paid both rounds in one payment but listed them seperately on my account. All postings to your account and matching of cash to your telling them that you are going to deposit appear to be manual - while the email chasing for deposit appears to be automated.
If Seedrs cancel my shares because they are using another automated process and they don't think I've paid then I'll be pissed - but I would hope that would be subject to manual control. I suspect that Seedrs just aren't set up for such a high volume blip in their processes.

I was only buying extra shares to avoid dilution.

When you look at your account (not the emails) does it all match out or is the deposit still shown as unpaid? If it is (and one of mine is) then you'll get an automated email telling you that they will cancel your share purchase.

How long is the standby period likely to be?
-
• #811
Ah, cool. So sometime tomorrow then, or maybe the day after. It'll be nice to see it in the completed column on the investments page.
-
• #812
The "invest more" button is now gone, so I guess they've got all the cash. It still seems to be in the standby period though.

• #813
So, the boss is off to Rio next week then?
-
• #814
Week after, and it's Paris. A cycle ride for charity, to help children read.
Won't you think of the children?!
-

£331 until tags are back...

£251 to go, and the deadline is today. How about all of us who invested in the Microcosm second round make a donation of just 1% of the amount we invested? Even without the Seedrs only heavy hitters, that should be more than enough to make the target!
-
• #817
The real target was actually £600. I've surpassed that.
I set it higher as I like stretch goals.
I'm happy with what has been raised, and won't beat the drum too loudly to push the stretch goal.
-
• #818
because you don't want tags back in the football thread? Thats selfish....
-
• #819
Actually because banging the drum is a distraction from building product and pleasing customers.
Then again, so is a cycle club... which reminds me that I need to build that this evening.

Got my share certificate today... exciting. Included my 1st round top up and my 2nd round amount which is nice.
Now have a total of 1,552 parts Microcosm which is obviously loads.
Time to look at buying an island.

How many shares exist or how does one work out their ownership percentage?
-
• #822
Back of a fag packet:
Valuation - £2m
Share price - £1.49
Shares in existence - 1,342,282Therefore I own 0.116%
-
• #823
I would think it should be worked out more like:
1) what percentage of Microcosm does the seedrs investment vehicle (presumably called "microcosm cc limited" own
2) how many shares are there in Microcosm CC Limited?
3) how many of those shares do you own?
4) what % of Microcosm CC Limited do you own?
5) (answer to 4))*(answer to 1)) = % of Microcosm that you own.?
-
• #824
I believe my certificate only shows the latest round, not both: 50 shares, times £1.49 = £74.50 = what I put into round 2.
I had previously put £50 into round 1.

That's not a bad fag packet you have there.
Actual shares in cap table: 1,345,050
Minor difference in calculation arises as a consequence of Seedrs offering shares at whole pence prices rather than down to 6 decimal places (of a £).
