  • I'm pretty sure there's a T missing from this if it's for lfgss.cc

Isn't this relating to a naughty word for a woman's vagina?

How about a different shaped star (of david)?

    Religious overtones?

People might think we're all Spurs supporters
    Antisemitism?

People might think that someone had revived the old Nazi idea of sticking Stars of David on people's clothing.

    Offending anyone, perhaps?

The club may be for a laugh, but there's not going to be any tolerance of sexist jokes.

There are very few clubs that really welcome ladies at all levels of cycling, I would be really pleased if the LFGSS Cycling Club provided that. But that will only be possible with a zero tolerance towards anything that isn't totally welcoming... your joke about a soigneur is not welcoming.
Blinkin' Nora Velocio! or is that Blinkin' Norman so that I don't offend? This forum is full of comments that would/could offend the masses. If LFGSSCC is serious about zero tolerance then take a look at this whole site.

Re. There are very few clubs that really welcome ladies at all levels of cycling

Really? All the women I know who are associated with cycling clubs have always been welcomed by fellow cyclists and never been excluded from participating in cycling. Maybe some of the women on here could answer this? Maybe BC could answer this too?

What about these hints of ageism, racism and homophobia? To add to the misogyny (Not to mention the scatological references.)
Oh Gawd! I didn't realise this was a Pollitically Correct cycling club. SO sorry to offend.

The age thing is a product of British Cycling's own policies. It isn't upper-bounded, just lower-bounded at 18.

No issue with the reference to alcohol.

No issue with the jersey colour reference as options will be available.

No issue with scat, fine with whatever you're into and Tynan's anti-theft paste always has its' use.

But very seriously... sexism won't fly.

The club has some semblance of a duty to not bring the sport into disrepute, and frankly anyone that wears a club jersey and espouses sexist rubbish will be excluded from the club and very likely the site too.

This is just fair warning of that, it really will be zero tolerance.
Understandable, but this whole website could fall into the sexist rubbish category! If you think that RLJ or any other traffic violation in a LFGSS jersey is on the onus of the rider wearing it, then I agree, but the cycling and general public will associate LFGSS as a bunch of non-law abiding cyclists; if you like it or not. Hence all LFGSS members will be tarred with the same brush by the cycling community. If someone is associated with LFGSSCC then it brings focus on the club - good or bad.

You can't have your cake and eat it.

Believe me, I think your grand idea is great, carry on!

    don't be a pussy, don't be a dick.
    Traditional stereotypical sexist attitude, anyone?
