  • Ok, was just curious as other CC's I've been with have been quite strict on it from a bring the sport/clubs name into disrepute point of view.

And just to be clear; I'm actually very anti-RLJing for my own reasons, I was more just inquiring from the club point of view. And I would definitely never wear a Man Utd shirt.

    Club rules will be minimal.

I think that when clubs (of any sport) start to think that they have the right to intrude more than a reasonable amount that those clubs are in the wrong.

Reasonable basis for clubs to set rules: The way you act when you are directly involved in a club event/forum/thing.

Unreasonable basis for clubs to set rules: What you choose to do when you are not directly involved in a club activity.

Riding to and from an activity, commuting, etc... whether or not you wear club strip... is entirely someone's personal action and is in no way approved or condoned by the club, nor has the club any implied right to approve or condone. It's 100% a personal thing, and any consequences are as per the rest of the natural world... for that individual to deal with.

I can't see that being different in the eyes of the law, so I can't see how it would be enforceable or an issue for the club that would imply we should put it in some rules.

Other clubs, I suspect, are just wrong on this.
