HTFU then.
If not this doesnt happen too soon. I may just get a vinyl done for my stem. But it seems a neater solution having it engraved on a top cap.
I'll stop derailing now.

Hi Tester, this could be very well timed for me but before I mess up the list can i check i'm understanding correctly, they're now ok for 45°x45° campag type? I need two for my GFs bikes:
1 for a giant with 48mm OD HT, 0mm (top of compression ring to top of HT, as far as i can tell but best call it 1mm and i'll shim it), 45°x45° (TH industries 870# ACB compatible with campy).1 for a Madone with 45mm OD HT, 4mm, 36°x45° (TH 873# ACB)
Will those both work?
Thanks!

Put the dimensions in the list and I can get them made. In theory I can make one for a compression ring which is flush with the head tube, but it would basically be a washer :-) Also see below↓, if you need to have the bottom of your stem less than 3mm from the top of your head tube, you're probably a: riding the wrong frame b: using the wrong stem or c: better off doing a Hesjedal and losing the bearing cover completely

To keep the price low, I'm probably going to have to have all the corner radii the same and then add straight skirts to modify the depth. That will mean minimum depth would be 2mm. Are you OK to add 0.5mm of shims? I can ask about varying the radii, but it's going to be an extra set up for the machinist, so it could be quite a bit extra just for one.

That's fine with me mr tester

brilliant, thanks - happy with the 2mm minimum too to keep things simple and I'll shim it - I've a feeling it's not quite flush but due to the massive HT I can't get the verniers in close enough. Also see below↓, if you need to have the bottom of your stem less than 3mm from the top of your head tube, you're probably a: riding the wrong frame b: using the wrong stem or c: better off doing a Hesjedal and losing the bearing cover completely
The issue is too tall a headtube on a small bike; the Giant is an XS Avail and to get the same drop she has on the Trek with a -17° 80mm stem on a 17mm volcano we need to slam it and at least a -17° stem, possibly even more. I would ditch the bearing cover but its a winter bike so I'd like all the weather protection it can get.We did try for a custom frame last year but it all went a bit wrong and the Avail was the only otp we could find with a short enough top tube, proper sized wheels and ability to take full fit mud guards.
Enough rambling, the list:

Hi there. New forum member as I've been hunting for a low stack cover for my new CAAD10. Am I too late/not enough posts yet for this?
-

Add your details to the list. Schedule at the moment is redraw tonight, submit to machinist tomorrow and start cutting metal pretty soon after that, so don't hang around especially if you want an odd size. There will probably be spares in 45mm and 46mm diameters.

Hey tester; if i'm not too late I've just built up a new frame for myself which looks like could do with getting rid of the volcano too - no worries if you've already finalised things, I'll sort something else out. Cheers!

Use the depth gauge on your vernier, it doesn't look properly aligned for the depth measurement at the moment. Either 48/3 or 48/4 might be right.

(are .5mm's okay? I'm assuming its slightly better to go lower and have a slight gap, then having to shim to keep it free?)

Engraver charged £1 per letter last time, so you're looking at a £70 top cap
