I am looking to replace my old laptop with a tablet. Velocio recommended the nexus 7 above. I have 3 questions:
Will it connect to a printer as I need to print documents for work occasionally?
How can I transfer stuff on the laptop to the tablet? Do tablets have usb ports?
I use Word for work. I assume there are equivalent word processing programmes?
It doesn't really sound like you want a tablet if that's the kind of thing you're doing, even if only occasionally.
I'd think about another laptop or possibly a chromebook (I'd check whether your printer is compatible first but they're good machines for the price if so).
On a separate topic I had a play with a Galaxy Mega and a Note 3 LTE today. The Note was nice, I can see why they're so popular but the Mega seemed a bit underpowered, seemed to stutter at times.
And a final point, is there any point putting custom firmware (cyanogen I'd guess) on a Galaxy Nexus? Does it offer anything above the standard firmware?
