nope.. not responsibility, just realising that making what some perceive as a violent action (hitting car) to make yourself feel better is worse than brushing it off and say ce la vie.
That doesn't follow at all. -

Why would you hit a car unless it was posing immediate risk to you and you needed to get the driver's attention (eg when being forced into the kerb). The driver should not retaliate and put anyone at risk but that driver is a human and subject to human emotion, including an anger which clouds rational judgement when provoked.
Ed, do you get many punishment passes or other such retalitory action from drivers? Do you consider that you have in no way provoked any of these or do you accept that they might be a consequence of your actions? Do you know how easy it is to get a driving licence and at no time are you psychologically assessed?
People with very short tempers who are prone to acts of violence also drive cars. Deliberately provoking a stranger with an act of violence (hitting out at their property), will cause a reation. Not all drivers will show this reaction as most are bigger than this and will brush it off with a swear and a shrug, but you only need to meet one really unhinged person in your lifetime for them to change or end your life.

Hatbeard on london bridge I was once again walking...
Hai, was too busy wondering what the shuddering fuck was happening with the traffic to be paying attention to peds. turned out two white vans and a cement mixer had tried to jump the queue of traffic in the right hand lane and ended up blocking the whole bridge northbound. fucking bulbs.

I spotted a chap at Dalston Junction trackstanding like a boss, both hands in his pockets looking nonchalant as all hell. Riding a knackered looking 'mercury' dayglo paintjobbed thing.
Wow.

That famous vid clip of that cyclist getting puched off his bike by a right tool before driving off again comes to mind...

Wow.
I know. I did at least a quadruple take. Thought he must've had a foot down but nope. Hands in pockets, both feet on pedals, sat down on the saddle, completely stationary at traffic lights for a good length of time.
