Well we can probably expect a new L4d.
Who knows they could sell loads of these if HL3 was available at release.

OK so the Valve/ Steam announcements this week are pretty big.
It looks as though these could be the end of traditional consoles as we know it.
First of all they announce the Steam OS- which runs on a linux build optimised to play games.
Then they announce Steam machines - they'll play all your games in the living room. Anything that isn't Linux supported (Most of steam titles now are) can be streamed from your home PC (running windows) to the Steam box - they state this will be seamless.
I for one want to see them running. This could be the 'next gen' console I end up buying.
3rd - probably a new source engine and some of the games.
HL3?

Although that did look like a headcrab.

GTAV installing - oh what have I done......

I bought Rome Total War 2 the other day. It's not as fun as I remember, and it's a bit annoying not being able to start a fresh campaign only being able to join an existing civilisation.

Seen rumours about the PC version of GTA V... grrr will end up double purchasing.

It's a certainty to come to PC, it always has been.

Personally I never see that as a bad thing, I get to play GTAV right now, and in the future when I have a new computer, I'll fall in love with GTAV all over again in full glory.

Gotcha, should look pretty amazing on PC. What it should've looked like at it gotten a PS4/Xbone release. Though to be honest I reckon it will, Rockstar may not be telling just so people will buy for both current and next-gen.

Tropico 3, Sine Mora, SkyDrift, and Anna - Extended Edition! If you pay $6 or more, you'll also receive Tropico 4 and Jagged Alliance: Back in Action!
Might just buy it for Tropico 4.

I've played GTAV for a couple of hours so far. At the moment it seems just like any other GTA game with slightly better graphics and a few other slight improvements. I definitely haven't been blown away and sort of wish I'd waited a few months to get it pre-owned and saved some money. Does it pick up?

Smash fuck outta more hookers.
-
• #8817
I've been doing my level best to smash unreasonable amounts of hookers but that's no different to any other GTA game.

If you're bored send it to me, I'll cover the postage costs.

• #8819
Cheers mate, you've done me a solid there.

Game does pick up - the start is the usual this is how you drive, shoot, walk.
Story line is actually really good. I've only just completed it but have loads of side missions to still do.
-
• #8821
The missions, as you progress, get increasingly awesome in their scope and variety. They're definitely the best that any game of this genre have ever had.
As for how fun it is.... a lot of this is down to the player. If you have no imagination or just don't enjoy running around an open world doing crazy stuff, you might struggle to find it interesting after the missions.

Yes.
Also invest in the stock market for the insurance company then start blowing up everything.
Your stock will rise along with your levels of mayhem!!!
This can be quickly achieved by driving around town throwing stick bombs at things.

^ Nice, going to try that now.

What's the deal with the cars? I saw a Gulf GT40 after five minutes but I've not seen another in ten hours. Just really rare? Any others?

Timing and location play a huge roles on vehicles choice, i.e. you almost never see a BF Injection (VW Beetle dune buggy) in Los Santos itself but they're common as murk in Sandy Shore.
Hahah - Good one.
