As this is going to be a ss - I think a cheaper and lighter option would be to buy a road wheel set and just singlespeed it.
It's what I've done with my Nature Boy, these are a good wheelset and Jonny is selling a pair for 50quid on here.
The Nature Boy forks are nice (Ive bought some) but they are heavy as fuck, I'd keep an eye out for a straight rake carbon job. I guess they're pretty cheap at 100gbp from Triton.
I would go for a gxp bottom bracket. I have the Stronglight cranks and will in the near future replace them with a set of sram cranks - installation is just a breeze, which will be important on this build.
I would always go with drop bars and road brakes on a build like this because I think it's more versatile and nicer looking, obviously that is personal preference.
