I read a thread on this recently but I'm buggered if I can find it now.
I've picked up a cheap 2012 Genesis iO alfine MTB and want to make it a bit more all-rounder so I'm looking at replacing the suspension fork with a rigid (cheap carbon possibly, budget about £100). It's not really going to be used for heavy off-roading, more like canal towpaths, light single-track, winter riding, etc.
The current fork is a Rockshox Recon Gold RL Solo 100mm. Any suggestions on what to replace it with? I know sod all about suspension forks (and disc brake mounts for that matter, it has Shimano BR-M595).

So far as I can gather this looks like what I should be looking at http://www.carboncycles.cc/?p=196&
Any suggestions? Cheers
