I'd be tempted to go 28R/24F. Thats probably the lower limit though.
Definitely get the uber wide flanged front hub Bicycle Hub Store. It'll help give the front some added bracing angle for out of the saddle climbing. Bugs me when the front flexs when I'm trying to power a climb. Although with my front it was a bearing pre-load issue fixed with 10 seconds allen key work.
