I'd recommend Mud Docks for their beer and nachos.

If you can travel just outside Bristol you could give Terry's Cycles in Yate a try, they've been around for years. A small shop, but I think you'll find that the guys in the workshop really know their stuff. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I don't have a car so may be a stretch but I'll keep it in mind for the future. Always good to know someone reliable

Bools Bikes in fishponds, The Bike Workshop opposite the children's hospital.

Psyclewerx on cotham hill always seem to be decent, and since all the road bikes they sell new are campagnolo equipped, may be worth a shot?

The best bike shop in Bristol is Cadence cycles in Bath...
They have plenty of Campag stock and experience and Will and Johnny the owners are really sound.Mud-Dock are not a bike shop but a "lifestyle choice" - this is an actual quote from one of their staff.....
I must admit I haven't been down to BW yet but have heard some mixed reports.
Out of all of them I would probably recommend Bike in Clifton for general spares and odds and ends if you can't get to Bath

I agree that Mud Dock is a good choice but John's Bikes in Bath is a great option too - 10 minutes on a fast train from Bristol Temple Meads and a nice day out to boot!

Lots of options here cheers guys
Can anyone recommended a decent shop for servicing in Bristol , particularly experienced in Campagnolo ? Every time I go into the local large chain store I'm disappointed and worried that my limited knowledge is better than the staff's, even more worrying is that they will just guess or make stuff up rather than admit they don't know . Plus I would much rather support a local bike shop.
I've had good experience at jakes bikes and I know he really knows his stuff but I don't know about his support staff as has not in all the time . Any other recommendations ?
Thanks
