The dent is quite small....but....taken further back...it won't be seen....so trying to be upfront and honest.....but thanks for your comments....and no fear....this one won't be reduced in price.....it is what i paid.....for the Raleigh and the Roberts forks

On the surface you are correct....old frame....seen better days....some rust and a dent in the TT!.......However....this is an iconic frame....it is about British cycling history....if there is a frame that has that something special....it is this one....why?.....it is a TI Raleigh frame made by GOD at Ilkeston.....it is an SBDU frame.....so they are rare....more so as it is a track frame.....but it is the colours too......before Sky.....it is was TI Raleigh that blazed a trail for British bikes (OK it was essentially a Dutch team)....in the 1970-80s.,.....winning world road titles and the TdeF in 1980......I have wanted one of these for years.....but it is slightly too small....otherwise I would not sell.....it is a mega keeper.....but bit of me hopes it does not sell.....I will then manage......Does that answer your question?....This frame has a history....it was made by craftsmen.....it has tradition.....oozing from each lug.....each tube......and GOD= Gerald O'Donovan.....Google him!

Have you ever considered going into Law? because you've sold me enough for me to offer you my Kidneys. Both!
My view is changed. -

My view is changed. You make me feel very humble.....and I am touched by what you have said......I am a historian....and am passionate about the history and tradition of the British cycling industry of which TI Raleigh was an important player.
Plus at 57.....I think.....switching to law won't happen.....sadly.

[Possibility that i could deliver the frame to someone in London....on 12 October [ie next Tuesday]
Seems like you live in a different spacetime :)
This frame is older than me and my size! I would be tempted if I wasn't going travelling for a couple of months very soon. GLWS

I meant 12 September...i stand corrected.
That is the nature of SBDU frames.....old but good...thanks for your best wishes.....enjoy your travelling...hope you are going somewhere interesting!
I probably do live in a very different spacetime.....this is 1863?

Is the TT bent or is it an optical illusion?

Is the TT bent or is it an optical illusion?
There is a small dent.....bars have caught the TT.....remember the frame was used since 1982 on track used by many many people inc school kids......the TT is not bent in any way or form.....it is not a good pic......I would not sell something that was not as described.....even then....if you saw it and decided you did not want it......I would give you a full refund.....so you can buy in confidence......if I delivered the frame....you are under no obligation to buy it.....but obligated to pay a fair amount of my travelling costs......if you have any further questions ask.....later today.....I will post some more pics of the Raleigh undrilled forks that go with the frame.....hope that answers your question.
-

Yes it does, thank you.
I have e-mailed Argos for a quote to repair/ or replace the TT. I will make you an offer after I get the quote.Cheers.

I am not taking offers!....No disrespect but the TT is fine....you would be wasting your money.....it has a dent....it is an iconic frame........the price is as stated.....i would rather keep her and use it...than allow someone to butcher a perfectly good frame that was built by GOD...for no good reason.....you could get the dent fixed...and get it resprayed....but you would lose the patina...the history....and i don't like the idea of a dent in a frame...but would rather have it knowing it is a TI Raleigh in the red, black and yellow....in its original form than a shiny respray with no character....the frame as it it stands has character....with a reasonable price tag.....but no offers on this frame....unless you want the Columbus forks too.
TI Raleigh Special Division track frame 52cm square [TT=52cm C2C and ST=52cm C2T].....Frame and forks and a Campag orginal Record seatpost [27.2mm] only....made from 531 DB throughout....wheels etc are not for sale.
Possibility that i could deliver the frame to someone in London....on 12 September[ie next Tuesday]...thanks Woutchi!
100mm front forks and 120mm rear spacing.
Frame dates from 1982 and this was bough from Alister in Scotland....and i am asking what i paid him....i don't want to seel but the frame is a tad too small...but i won't be giving it away and would rather keep it then do so.
The frame is in good condition....with a lovely patina...very solid...bit of surface rust....but otherwise it is in very good shape...been used a lot on a Scottish velodrome....one little dent in the TT....and in reality it is small [see last pic]
The buyer would have a choice....Frame and original undrilled forks and seatpost will be £215 posted or you can have the frame and undrilled forks and the chrome road forks [see below for a description of the chrome forks].....Frame and both forks......£315 posted
The chrome forks can be sold with frame or separately [The chrome forks are made by Roberts from Columbus steel...and weigh 631g....and are in excellent condition.....the forks are threadless...181mm steerer and star fangled nut included.......£100 for the forks....or £110 including a nice Cane Creek 40 headset.
