Someone was talking bollocks on the brakes threads about fixed with one brake is fine, as most of your braking is done with a front brake anyway. Ummm... no it isn't for exactly that reason. If you are riding fixed and only using your front brake, you are doing it wrong. #skidz
Your front brake is much more important than your rear brake, no matter whether the rear brake is cantilever, coaster or skidz. Deceleration throws your weight forward, shifting load off the rear wheel and so reducing its effectiveness as a brake. This, more than anything else, is why brakless requires a change in riding style.
