I don't suppose anyone's hired a road bike in Umbria (staying near Perugia) before? Been looking online and prices seem high/choice seems low. The only other time I've hired a bike on holiday was in Lanzarote where there's sufficient competition that it's relatively cheap. It seems a shame to go to Italy and not cycle at all.
(though this is meant to be a family holiday so not sure I'll be able to justify getting out that much).
